Why did Noah Cyrus miss his mother's wedding?

Miley Cyrus' mother, Tish, married actor Dominic Purcell, and her two children, Noah and Braison Cyrus, were spotted spending time together while the wedding was taking place.
 
Noah posted photos on Instastory wearing a t-shirt of his father, Billy Ray Cyrus, and fans interpreted this as a nod to his mother's wedding and claimed that Noah has chosen to support his father.

The Cyrus family has had some drama, which has become public, and people are hinting that the split between Tish and Billy has not been so peaceful. On the other hand, in May of this year, Noah wished his mother a happy birthday through a post on Instagram, where he wrote: "Happy birthday to my beautiful mother. It doesn't matter what happens, I will always love you."

Tish and Billy split in April of last year and announced to People via People. They expressed that after (almost) 30 years together, 5 wonderful children and many memories, they had decided to part ways, without sadness, but with a lot of love in their hearts.

"We have grown up together, we have created a family that we are proud of and now is the moment to build our own paths. We will always be a family and we will continue to share experiences as friends and as parents", they said, emphasizing that they would focus on the important things.
