If you have planned a trip for vacation or to your family and you have to pass through "Mother Teresa" airport, Tirana International Airport (TIA) has issued a new instruction for citizens.
Until September 10th, you must show up three hours early to check-in before departing for your destination. The notification is required to take into account possible additional time needed for baggage control, security and any unforeseen circumstances.
TIA's full announcement:
"Tirana International Airport would like to inform you of an update regarding the check-in and security process at Tirana International Airport (TIA) from today until September 10. To ensure smooth travel and to accommodate additional passengers during this period, we would ask all passengers to arrive at the airport at least 3 (three) hours before the scheduled departure time.
Please consider the possible additional time required for baggage check, security checks and any unforeseen circumstances that may develop.
This measure aims to improve the overall travel experience for all passengers. As always, your safety and comfort remain our top priorities.
By arriving early, you allow us to carry out the necessary procedures quickly and efficiently. Thank you for your cooperation and we look forward to serving you during your journey from Tirana International Airport".
