Over the past year, many fans have noticed that Bella Hadid has been absent from several major events, including the Met Gala, Paris Fashion Week, and the Cannes Film Festival. Through a recent post on Instagram, the supermodel explained the reason for breaking away from the media spotlight.
Bella Hadid has opened up about her ongoing battle with Lyme disease and revealed that she underwent 100 days of treatment.
In a series of photos posted on Instagram, Hadid shared her journey with the disease, through photos that included medical records, moments receiving treatments and relaxing at home with her dog.
"Living with this condition, getting worse with time and work, as I tried to make myself, my family and the people who support me proud, had hurt me in ways I can't explain," Bella wrote in the caption. "Being so sad and sick with so many blessings/privileges/opportunities/love around me was probably the most confusing thing ever."
