Taylor Swift fans are in their prime. Enthusiastic Swifties caused seismic activity in Seattle equivalent to a 2.3 earthquake, according to seismologist Jackie Caplan-Auerbach.
"I captured the data from both nights of the concert, and I noticed that they clearly had the same signal pattern," she said, adding, "If I put them on top of each other, they're almost identical."
For the Taylor Swift concert, seismology collected 10 hours of data.
The music, the speakers, the beat – all that energy can get into the ground and shake it.
Taylor is nearing the end of her Eras Tour, her first in five years. She has been praised for boosting local economies.
