Ryan Gosling may or may not be your ideal Ken in the new Barbie movie, but one of the film's casting directors has revealed who else could have taken the role.
In an interview with Vanity Fair, Allison Jones revealed who else could have joined Barbie in her dream house.
According to Jones, restrictions due to Covid at the time meant the cast would spend three months in London, where a large part of the film was filmed. Therefore Bowen Yang, Dan Levy and Ben Platt were out of the running to play the role.
"They were, I'm not kidding, really upset that they couldn't play the part," she said.
And they weren't the only ones looking for the role. "Simu Liu was dying to be Ken, God bless him," Jones said of the actor who was finally cast as one of the Kens.
