We're halfway through 2023 and so far, Miley Cyrus' "Flowers" is the most successful song of the year.
The Official Charts company, which compiles various official song and album charts in the UK, Ireland and France, has announced that "Flowers" has reached 147 million streams and more than 80,000 downloads in 2023.
That makes it the most successful song of the year... so far.
"Flowers" was rumored to be a song dedicated to the end of her marriage to actor Liam Hemsworth, after Miley released it on his birthday (March 10).
Notably, the five best-selling songs of the year are all by female artists - the first time this has ever happened in the history of the charts.
