Madonna's upcoming "Celebration" tour has been postponed after the singer was hospitalized with a "severe bacterial infection," according to an Instagram post by her manager Guy Oseary.
"On Saturday, June 24, Madonna suffered a severe bacterial infection that led to a several-day hospital stay," he wrote. "Her health is improving, but she is still under the care of doctors. A full recovery is expected."
The 35-city tour around the world was supposed to be a retrospective for the 64-year-old singer, dedicated to her music over the past 4 decades.
"I'm excited to explore as many songs as possible in hopes of giving my fans the show they've been waiting for," Madonna said in a video announcing the tour's launch.
