A woman dressed in the colors of the Ukrainian flag was removed from the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival after she poured fake blood on her body as a protest against the war.
The incident happened before the premiere of the film "Acid" by the French director Just Philippot on Sunday evening, at the festival in the south of France. As for the movie, it was not clear why her gesture happened in that movie.
The protester, wearing a yellow and blue dress, took out two cans of red paint and threw them over her head as she smiled for the cameras.
Thierry Frémaux, the director of the Cannes Film Festival, said before the start of the festival last week that he supported Ukraine.
