Eminem's daughter Hailie Jade Scott just got engaged, and she and partner Evan McClintock are sharing details of their engagement through her podcast, Just a Little Shady.
In the latest episode, Hailie invited the fiancé, and they talked about everything from the proposal to how Evan asked the famous rapper for his blessing to marry his daughter.
"It's been a long time. We actually started officially dating in college. So we have the whole thing, the whole process, we've asked for permission..." Hailie said.
McClintock found:
"It was during the holidays. I was looking for an opportunity to be inconspicuous. I saw your dad come downstairs. I thought, 'Okay, I've got to tell him now' or plan another time. So I followed him downstairs, luckily well he was getting the birthday cake, that's where I got his blessing."
The 27-year-old expressed surprise that "she had no idea".
Apparently everything went well, because Hailie shared the big news on Instagram on February 6.

Evan also said that it was Hailie's older sister, Alaina, who helped him pick out the ring.
"Your sister was sure she knew what you wanted," he said.
The pair tied the knot in 2016 and now, 7 years later, crowned their love.
