Amos's answer is somewhat strange, due to the very fact that this question was discussed during the prime a few days after the residents had asked the questions. So, when Luiz opened it as a discussion, in Amos's mind it must have been "Yes, I asked this question that is being discussed" or "No, I did not ask this question".
"I don't remember" is not very convincing.
