On social networks, people do not spare comments, sometimes excessive, about someone's physique and health. Selena Gomez released a video of her skin care routine, in which many people were skeptical about something.
While applying the micellar water, Selena experienced a slight tremor in her hands, which led to many comments about her physique.
Gomez answered questions about her hand tremors by reminding the audience that she was diagnosed with lupus years ago and the tremors are a side effect of medication.
Selena suffers from lupus - an autoimmune disease that causes inflammation in tissues and organs. The disease is difficult to diagnose because the symptoms – joint pain, fever, fatigue, hives – are frequent and can be explained in many ways. Lupus has no cure, but it is effectively treated. She was diagnosed with the disease in 2014.
In 2017, Gomez underwent a kidney transplant due to lupus and recently discussed the effects of physical and mental health on her life in the documentary Selena Gomez: My Mind & Me.
In addition to lupus, she opened up about bipolar disorder and how the diagnosis has helped her tremendously.
