
Anton Walkes, the talented 25-year-old footballer, has passed away after a boating accident. He was in critical condition after his boat capsized in south Florida on Wednesday.
It was reported that he was found unconscious and immediately received first aid from the rescue team, but unfortunately, he could not be saved.
Anton, during 2022, played in the Charlotte FC team and precisely, the team leader, David Tepper, shared a statement about the death of the young man.
“Everyone at Tepper Sports & Entertainment is devastated by the tragic death of Anton Walkes. He was an extraordinary son, father, partner and teammate who, through his optimistic outlook on life, touched all who were fortunate enough to know him. Anton improved the people around him in all walks of life and represented Charlotte FC to the highest standard both on and off the field. We will miss Anton very, very much! Our thoughts and prayers are with Anton's family during this heartbreaking time," Tepper wrote.
Anton Walkes started his career at the age of 16, when he signed a contract with the Tottenham team. He then played for Portsmouth and in the league for Atlanta United. In 2021, he was selected by the American team Charlotte FC and continued to play with this team.
