Miley Cyrus fans have something special to look forward to this year: a new album!
So far, we've only heard the first track. On January 12, Cyrus released "Flowers," and the song can be fearlessly an anthem about self-love and all the opportunities we're given to love ourselves.
But in addition, the fun seems to be a dedication to her ex-husband, Liam Hemsworth.
"We built a house and watched it burn," Miley says, and fans think she's referring to her and Hemsworth's Malibu home that was destroyed in the Woosley fire.
At another point during the song, Miley says that she "can love herself better than (anyone) else."
She and Hemsworth met in 2009, dated on and off for a decade, and married in 2018 before splitting in 2019.
"Flowers" wouldn't be the first time Cyrus has mentioned Hemsworth in a song. Here, however, she seems happier than ever to be single.
