Actress Blake Lively claims that a smear campaign orchestrated by Justin Baldoni and his company has caused her financial losses totaling nearly $300 million, according to court documents filed April 17. She claims that the use of terms like “insensitive,” “bullying,” and “bad girl” to damage her reputation has resulted in direct losses of about $36.5 million to $40.5 million.

Relying on the analysis of a marketing communications expert, Lively also claims that Baldoni's lawyer's public statements during their conflict over the film "It Ends With Us" caused her additional losses of over $24 million. The assessment of damages was made by analyzing the spread of these statements on the Internet and their impact on the actress's public image.

In terms of income, she claims to have lost work opportunities ranging from approximately $34.3 million to $87.8 million, including film and television projects, primarily for the period from August 2024 to August 2029. Her businesses have also suffered significant losses, estimated at $39.6 million to $143.5 million due to this legal matter.

In addition to financial damages, the actress is also seeking compensation for emotional and physical suffering, seeking an additional $250,000 to $400,000. In total, her claim for damages exceeds $290 million, significantly higher than her previous claim in November 2025.

Baldoni's lawyers, on the other hand, dispute these claims, arguing that such descriptions of Lively circulated publicly even before her collaboration with him and did not cause new damage to her reputation. Although a judge has dismissed some of her lawsuits, the case will continue in court on May 18 on the remaining charges, which include breach of contract and retaliation.
