In December, she was seen filming another movie in New York, Daddio, starring Sean Penn, directed by Christy Hall. Here the actress is 100% blonde and it's hard to tell if it's a wig. However, it looks very very real.
Maybe that was the sign you needed to go blonde or not. You know :)
