In her podcast "At your service" on iHeartRadio, Dua Lipa has always been honest about her life and career. Recently, the singer revealed that imposter syndrome helps her to always give her best.
"A lot of times I'm so inspired by artists who doubt themselves or are in a dark phase. I think, 'Oh my God, do I have to feel this much pain to be good at what I do?' - she said.
"I think so sometimes; sometimes imposter syndrome can get the best of me. Especially when I write," added Dua.
Imposter syndrome , also known as perceived impostor, involves self-doubt and personal abilities, despite education, experience, talent, and accomplishments.
In other words, these people have a hard time believing in themselves, they don't think they are good enough; they doubt their intelligence, achievements or talent.
On the one hand, this syndrome can help to always give your best, to improve yourself and set higher and higher standards. But on the other hand, it can negatively affect emotional well-being and mental health.
