According to some new data, the Spanish city of Grenada could be your next trip if you're looking to vacation somewhere without breaking the bank.
Omio, a travel website, has ranked the best destinations in Europe for travelers who don't want to spend too much. The site selected the 100 most popular destinations in Belgium, Germany, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland and Spain.
It then ranked the cities based on the number of free attractions, the price of public transport and the prices of food and drink. Also see the costs of city sightseeing tours and the number of public drinking fountains.
According to Omio, Grenada is the best European destination for a budget-friendly trip. The city has dozens of free activities - 112 to be exact, this includes 10 free museums. An evening out on the town does not cost much, where in 86 bars and nightclubs a beer costs just over 2 euros.
The study also found that Granada has 1,011 free Wi-Fi hotspots and 143 public water fountains. A regular bus ticket is one of the cheapest in Europe at €1.40.
