Violence against the elderly at an nursing home in Peja, Kosovo, shocked all public opinion and shifted attention to the most vulnerable category of society: the elderly.
New data from local media say that long-standing violence by employees was allegedly used on the elderly, but that video should have been published to turn into a major concern.
According to Euronea, families of nurse-raped people paid a monthly sum of 650 euros. They told authorities that they were unaware of the violence exerted as the elderly woman was suffering from Alzheimer's and had not shown.
Kosovo police have arrested the nurse who appears in the video and another person. On the other hand, the owner of the senior care centre also stated that he was not aware of the case in question and that he felt "only mlef".
In connection with the case that took place on Saturday 29 October, the three employees Aurona Pelaj, Altina Rezhepi and Remzie Rouge, are arrested, who are suspected of criminal acts "Assault/failure to prepare criminal/photographic work and other unauthorized incisions".
