Kanye West says he lost $2 billion in a single day after several major deals were cut due to his anti-Semitic comments .
On Thursday, the rapper posted a message to Ari Emanuel, CEO of talent and media agency Endeavor, who asked the companies to stop doing business with Kanye.
"Ari Emanuel, I lost 2 billion dollars in one day and I'm still alive," West wrote on Instagram. "This is love speech. i still love you God still loves you. Money does not make up who I am. The people are who I am."
It has been widely speculated in the media that Kanye West lost his billionaire status because several business and fashion associates terminated their contracts after making offensive comments about Jews. Adidas, Balenciaga, Gap and other companies have said they will no longer work with West. The partnership with Adidas alone was worth around 250 million euros. Talent agency CAA also terminated the contract.
But despite it all, Kanye seems unfazed.
