WhatsApp seems to be facing a glitch as a number of users are reporting problems with sending and receiving messages.
Downdetector, a website that tracks internet outages across the globe, has shown an increase in the number of users reporting WhatsApp being blocked.
"We are aware that some people are currently having problems sending messages, and we are working to make WhatsApp accessible to everyone as soon as possible," said a spokesperson for Meta, the company that owns the app.
WhatsApp suffered similar outages last year in October. Users are taking to Twitter to report the problem.
