Johnny Depp's lawyer - who helped him win his defamation lawsuit against Amber Heard - has reportedly quit working with Kanye West over his anti-Semitic comments.
Camille Vasquez informed her firm, Brown Rudnick, that she was not willing to represent the rapper less than a week after he hired her, TMZ reported Monday. According to TMZ, the lawyer was supposed to represent West in his business matters, dealing with contracts and other agreements.
Sources told TMZ that despite the lawyer's stance, her firm was still open to working with West if he retracted his statements, in which he said, among other things, that "the Jews control the world's finances and the media" and "have invented cancel culture” (cancel culture refers to the cancellation of support for public figures or companies after they have done something that is considered unpleasant or offensive).
He even made a controversial statement claiming that black people are Jews.
Days ago, Balenciaga dropped its collaboration with Kanye West after his statements, while people are putting pressure on Adidas to do the same.
