Dojna Mema, guest yesterday evening on "Goca dhe Gra" spoke at length about the arrival of Nolan Sol, the first experiences of motherhood and all the new emotions that come with it.
Dojna revealed for the first time publicly the first difficulty of pregnancy, which was the lack of official and accurate information regarding postpartum problems, such as lactation or depression.
"I have carried him by myself until now, he is two months old. Now a lady will take care of the mornings. It happened to me and I thought that in Albania the woman does not have much information about what comes after giving birth. Not only for postpartum depression, or lactation, there should be classes in Albania that are known to provide this confirmed information. The basic things that the mother should know when she gives birth to the baby. My mom had postpartum depression and she didn't even know what she had. Many people do not have this opportunity and it is a problem. I had prepared a lot for lactation and experienced it very easily" - said Dojna.
Mema said that at the beginning it was difficult to give birth via cesarean section (with surgery), but today she believes that it was the right choice.
"I had a complex with the fact that I was born by caesarean section (operation) and not by natural birth. This has been the most complicated part that I have suffered a lot. Luckily I had Vlashenti nearby. Until the last moment, I went to the hospital with the idea that I would give birth myself. I was panicking, I hadn't even thought about the moment of birth and when it came...I wasn't really ready. If I had a gradual follow-up, maybe I could have coped, but now I am happy about the choice made. I had a very easy pregnancy, I experienced it very well. I was born at 41 weeks because the baby was a bit 'lazy'. It's good that all women follow a regime not to consume harmful things, despite the fact that I ate pizza" - said Dojna.
How did life change after the arrival of the baby? The moderator herself revealed that she is a bit "strict" as a mother.
"I had a problem with other people around me. From time to time, my mother and Vlashenti's mother came, while I did not want to see anyone. It was the moment you will be alone with your child. I had Vlashenti, who I knew would be a devoted and 'efficient' father. He had more instincts than me," Dojna said.
