Hold on dear people, an infinity of books about the royal family are coming.
One of them is "The New Royals" by Katie Nicholl and sheds light on the slightly strained relationship between King Charles and Kate Middleton, especially in the period when she officially became part of the royal family.
King Charles, at the time had the title of prince and had a problem and obvious irritation with the attention that Kate received, for her elegant clothes in which she presented herself in public.
Charles clearly experienced déjà vu as he remembered the time when Princess Diana became more famous than him and all eyes were on the late princess. History repeated itself with Kate, and Charles became concerned, as everyone fell in love with Kate as soon as she stepped into the royal family.
The current king was always embarrassed that Princess Kate's dresses and outfits overshadowed his royal deeds and activities, and it seems that this resentment lasted even after the birth of Princes George, Louis and Princess Charlotte, because he often complained that he was not spending enough time with nephews and niece.
In short, Charles was a bit grumpy, self-righteous and the king not only of the United Kingdom, but also of drama.
I mean, when he got hot with a pen…
