Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has released a statement after he was filmed singing Queen's 'Bohemian Rhapsody' just days before attending Queen Elizabeth II's funeral.
The world leader had received some criticism, admittedly quite strange, for his actions, which took place in a hotel bar in London. In fact, he has now been forced to respond through a spokesperson.
A statement explained:
"After dinner on Saturday, the Prime Minister joined a small group of members of the Canadian delegation who have gathered to honor Her Majesty's life and service.
Gregory Charles, a well-known musician from Quebec and recipient of the Order of Canada, played the piano in the hotel lobby, and several members of the delegation, "including the prime minister, joined him."
The statement added that Trudeau had attended various events to honor the Queen.

After the video was released, some have claimed that the Canadian leader's behavior was somehow disrespectful to the Queen.
Others have said he was just having a little fun.

One commentator called it "shameful".
"He is the Prime Minister, in a public place, on the eve of the Queen's funeral. And this is how he behaves?"
Someone said:
"I think more than disrespect for Queen, from what I heard it was more of a disrespect for [the band] Queen."
