King Charles III took office and began the changes. According to sources, the king plans to amend the law established in 1937, changing the list of persons who can replace him in cases where he is incapacitated.
The move will affect Prince Andrew, Prince Harry and Princess Beatrice, who would be removed from their duties as official representatives of the sovereign.
This law dates back to 1937 and according to it, the consort of a monarch and four seniors in line for the throne can serve as state advisers and representatives for official duties.
When the throne belonged to Queen Elizabeth, the roles belonged to Charles, William, Harry and Andrew.
Sources say Charles will change the law as soon as possible and will most likely give more duties to Princess Anne and Prince Edward.
