Following the death of the French actress, Brigitte Bardot's foundation has issued a warning against fake goods being sold under the pretense of funding her work.
The foundation said it is aware of poor imitations being advertised online, claiming that proceeds will go to animal charities.
He threatened to take legal action against anyone who participates in "these dubious fundraising efforts," demanding respect for the memory of the deceased.
Bardot died at the age of 91 last Sunday. After revolutionizing French cinema in the 1950s and becoming a symbol of sexual liberation, she left acting to devote her life to animals.
However, Bardot later became embroiled in controversy for statements against Muslims, the LGBT community, and the #MeToo movement, being punished several times for inciting racial hatred.
The foundation warned against "the use of her iconic image in ugly and vile attempts for personal gain," including selling photos or even montages created using artificial intelligence.
