Cher made what some believe was a colossal mistake in her tribute to the Queen, referencing the late monarch with an animal in her emotional message.
Following the news of Queen Elizabeth's death yesterday, many people have taken to social media to pay their respects.
Singer Cher has also reflected on the late ruler's life, saying she once had the "honour" of meeting her.
She tweeted:
"I am saddened by the death of Queen Elizabeth II. I had the honor to meet him. I waited in a long line of people to meet her, but when it was my turn, she asked me questions and seemed genuinely interested in talking to me. I'm proud it was a [cow emoji (?)] and glad it had a great sense of humor.”
The emoji had people asking, "What did that mean?!"
"Maybe you were the wrong emoji?", someone asked. While another said: "Didn't Cher just call the queen a 'cow'?"

Although Cher certainly had no ill intentions, it must be said that the writing style itself seems very sloppy and does not reflect the respect that Cher claims to have for the Queen.
