King Charles has made a statement on the death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth.
Through the official website of the Royal Palace, he writes:
"The death of my beloved mother, Her Majesty, is the saddest moment for me and all the members of my family.
We deeply mourn the loss of a much loved Sovereign and mother. I know her absence will be felt across the country and by countless people around the world."
