If you want to live longer and healthier, the secret is simple. Change your lifestyle, choose an activity you enjoy and get moving. You can choose anything - from running, swimming, tennis, cycling or even just walking.
The idea is that you will live longer if you choose to move for at least 11 minutes during the day. All the interesting activities mentioned above reduce the risk of premature death, cardiovascular problems or cancer. At least this is the conclusion reached by the latest study published this week in the journal JAMA Online Open.
This study, conducted by the National Cancer Institute, analyzed the responses of 272,000 people aged 52-82 who reported on their daily physical activities. Having said that, it turned out that these were the three activities that came with the most benefits for the human body.
*Aerobics - reduced the risk of death from any cause by 13%, compared to doing no activity during the week.
*Running- reduced the risk of cancer by 19% and the risk of premature death by 15%.
*Walking as a physical exercise - turned out to be the activity with the most benefits in terms of the risk of premature death.
Participation in any of these activities was associated with lower mortality compared to those who did not participate in any of them. Now, the choice remains only in your hand!
