You know when your dog is very happy to see you. A shaking beast, reckless playful jumps and some eyes that can melt your heart.
What you probably don't know lies right in your dog's eyes: According to a recent study conducted by Japanese scientists, a dog's eyes can be filled with tears of joy when reunited with their owner after a long absence.
Tears can help them rekindle the bond between themselves and their god—a special bond that dates back thousands of years.
Just like humans, dogs have tear ducts that help keep their eyes clean and healthy. What we didn't know is that dog tears (since they don't fall the same way as our tears) weren't associated with emotional habits before. Dogs also have the ability to distinguish different languages ??and decipher words that do not make sense.
After the experiment, experts noticed that dogs' tears are associated with positive emotions and that they are more visible after reuniting with their owner or other family members. However, there is still much that scientists don't know or can't explain about dogs. Humans often cry to release negative emotions, but the same can't quite be said for dogs.
