Iconic tech entrepreneur and Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates is obsessed with the future.
He often works with inventors and scientists, reads books about the future of humanity, and funds projects to advance communities.
And based on the data he has collected years ago to date, Gates concludes that people with at least one of these three skills will be among the most sought after in the labor market: science, engineering and economics.
People skilled in these fields, and certainly in their subfields, will be the "agents of change for all institutions," according to Gates.
"Basic knowledge of the sciences, mathematical skills, economics - many careers in the future will need them."
You don't have to be an expert in coding or the periodic table, but being able to think like these experts do will help you tremendously.
"It doesn't mean you necessarily have to write code, but you have to understand what engineers can and can't do," says the Microsoft co-founder.
