The Ministry of Equality (Ministry of Equality- the department in the government of Spain, whose focus is gender equality and policies that fight all forms of violence against women) has launched perhaps the most interesting campaign of this summer!
The summer campaign, which quickly went viral in the world media, aims to encourage women of different body shapes and sizes to enjoy summer 100% by freeing themselves from "summer body" complexes. The campaign slogan is: "Summer is ours too" and the cover features women of different ages, colors, shapes and sizes enjoying the sun and sea.
"Enjoy it as you want, where you want and with whom you want!" - the description reads. Part of the photo is also a topless woman who underwent surgery to remove one of her breasts.
"All bodies are beach bodies. - said Ione Belarra, Minister of Social Rights in Spain. All bodies are valid and we have the right to enjoy life as we are, without guilt or shame. Summer is for everyone.

The idea of ??this campaign is to diminish the impact that stereotyping has on women's self-esteem and how expectations about the physique have affected and denied their rights to enjoy as they deserve.
"Diverse bodies, without gender stereotypes. Summer belongs to us too. Free, equal and diverse," tweeted Antonia Morillas, head of the women's institute and the organization behind the initiative.
However, the campaign has been considered absurd by opposition party leaders who have stated that "a problem is being created that does not exist."
