"Here's a neat trick to 'trick' the brain into lowering the temperature. Our body regulates temperature using the hypothalamus - the peanut-shaped section of the brain. This part of the brain acts as a thermostat, raising or lowering the temperature, depending on various factors, such as skin temperature," said the expert.
"There are some specific areas on the skin that can affect the hypothalamus more than others. These are known as pulse points and are places where the blood vessels are so close to the skin that you can feel them. When are you going to lower the temperature of the body, wet one of these areas with cold water. This trick will cause the brain to lower the thermostat."
What are these areas?
Wrists
Neck veins
Part of the galls
