It can take up to 500 years for the plastics contained in the liners to degrade. That being said, a Danish company, LastObject, has decided to go eco-friendly for anyone who wants to avoid using plastic as much as possible.
LastPad is a reusable liner that aims to help women who don't want to use plastic. The product does not compromise comfort and protection, comes in three sizes and is composed of three layers.
Each LastPad can be used up to 240 times. The product comes with a waterproof and fragrance-free carrying bag. To clean it, wash it in the washing machine with other clothes.
Founder Isabel Aagaard told Euronews that she hopes her company can impact a "huge, trillion-dollar" industry that she says should not exist. "Our mission is to create reusable items that eliminate the need for single-use items," said Aagaard.
