Decision to repeal abortion law: Joe Biden blames Donald Trump
The US president during a press release after the decision of the country's Supreme Court regarding abortion, called June 24 as "sad day for America".
According to the decision there is no longer a constitutional right to have access to abortion in the country and each individual state will now decide whether the procedure will be allowed to be performed or not.
"The health and lives of women in this nation are now in danger. I believe that Roe v Wade was the right decision in terms of constitutional law and the implementation of the fundamental right to privacy and freedom. "There were three judges appointed by a president, Donald Trump, at the heart of today's decision to raise the level of justice and eliminate a fundamental right for women in this country," he said.
Biden called the ruling a "realization of an extreme ideology" and a "tragic mistake" by the court, adding that it would do everything to protect women's rights.
Denmark imposes carbon tax
A new carbon tax, the highest in Europe, was approved in the Danish parliament yesterday. This tax will be paid by companies in the European emissions trading system and those outside it.
The Danish government sees the new tax as the key to achieving the greenhouse gas reduction target by 2030 by 70% from 1990 levels.
By the end of this 10-year period companies in the European licensing system will pay 1,125 Danish kroner (150 euros) for a tonne of carbon dioxide emitted.
Tragedy in an Oslo "gay bar": 2 dead and 14 injured
During the early hours of Saturday morning, 2 people were killed and 14 others injured in what is known as the largest lesbian and gay club in Oslo, Norway. Authorities immediately managed to arrest the main suspect just minutes after the incident and witnesses say the perpetrator had clear intentions at the time of the shooting.

In Phoenix, Arizona, police used tear gas to disperse outraged protesters. In Los Angeles they also temporarily blocked highway traffic.
At an abortion clinic in Little Rock, Arkansas the doors of the patient's area were closed as soon as the court opinion was officially published. Clinic staff were forced to notify all patients to tell them that their appointments had been canceled.
