Elon Musk's transgender daughter has filed a petition to change her name according to gender identity and because "I no longer live and I do not want to be associated with my biological father in any way, shape or form."
The petition for the name change and for a new birth certificate that reflects gender identity was filed in the Los Angeles County High Court in Santa Monica in April. This was recently revealed in several online media reports.
Born as Xavier Alexander Musk, the 18-year-old has asked the court to change her gender from male and female and register her new name, Vivian Jenna Wilson. Her mother is Justine Wilson, who officially divorced Musk in 2008.

In the documents, there was no further explanation for the relationship between her and Musk. In May, about a month after the document was presented, Musk declared support for the Republican Party, whose representatives support a series of laws restricting transgender rights.
Musk has previously spoken out about transgender pronouns, posting on Twitter in 2020, "I absolutely support trans people, but all of these pronouns are an aesthetic nightmare."
