These are five of the stories taken from "Friday the 13th" over the decades, which prove that this date really has something unfortunate inside it.
# 1 - The black cat curse
On Friday the 13th, 1969, a black cat was thrown to the field during a crucial end-of-season match between the Cubs and Metes.
According to the story, the cat ignored the Metes squad and looked into the Cubs pit for 10 seconds before disappearing. The Cubs were devastated after that game, losing 18 of their next 27 games and falling from first place.
# 2 - Lightning strikes
At 1:13 p.m., on a Friday the 13th, a 13-year-old boy was allegedly struck by lightning in Suffolk, England. He survived and managed with only a small burn. That guy probably has the most interesting story to tell friends every Friday, 13.
# 3 - Death of Tupac
In September 1996, Tupac Shakur died on Friday, the 13th, almost a week after being shot four times in the car. However, even to this day, many conspiracy theorists claim that he is not actually dead.
# 4 - Plane crash, cannibalism and an avalanche
On Friday, October 13, 1972, a plane full of Uruguayan rugby players crashed in the snowy mountains of Chile. Only 27 of the original 45 passengers survived. The misfortune continued: without supplies, the survivors had to eat their dead comrades.
A few weeks later, an avalanche killed eight others. And the remaining 16 survivors were not rescued until the end of December. Terrible!
# 5 - Wall Street Crash
Another weird Friday in October. In 1989, Wall Street had a mini-clash.
Referred to as "Black Friday", the Down Jones market fell nearly 7% in one afternoon.
This particular clash in "Black Friday" is often seen in history, as the beginning of the recession in the early 1990s.
The market seems to have had a negative reaction to "Friday the 13th" for many years.
CNBC raporton:
"There were five 'Friday the 13ths' in March and they were pretty negative for Down Jones Industrial, according to Kensho, a quantitative analysis tool used by hedge funds."
