In her upcoming autobiography, "Dirty Dancing" star Jennifer Gray wrote about her brief relationship with Johnny Depp, according to a report by The Independent.
Reflecting on the relationship, Gray described Depp as "crazy jealous and paranoid" with a "bad temper," according to the magazine.
Johnny Depp is currently in the middle of a defamation lawsuit against his ex-wife Amber Heard. Depp is suing Heard for $ 50 million for a Washington Post article that Heard wrote in 2018, in which she was identified as a survivor of domestic abuse. Heard did not mention Depp's name in the article. Amber is opposing Depp for $ 100 million.
In her forthcoming memoir "Out of the Corner," Jennifer Gray recalled that her agent tied her up in a 1989 meeting with Depp.
"We ate, we talked, we drank Jack Daniel's, we laughed, we smoked cigarettes. He was so funny and handsome ...," she wrote for The Independent.
According to Gray, Depp proposed to her within two weeks of meeting her.
But soon the connection began to get complicated.
"... Johnny was traveling every week, he was starting to get more and more in trouble: fights in bars, fights with cops."
Gray recalls in the book that she put an end to things with Depp after he left for a date and did not contact her for many hours. Gray Memoirs, "Out of the Corner," is available Tuesday, May 3rd.
