" The crisis in Ukraine must be the 'catalyst for change' to revisit the West's approach to international security," said Liz Truss, the UK 's foreign secretary. Truss described Putin as a "desperate rogue operator with no interest in international norms" and called on the West to "dig deep" into its weapons inventory. "We must redouble our support for Ukraine," she said.
· UN Secretary-General António Guterres has arrived in Ukraine following a meeting with Putin and Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in Moscow. Guterres will meet today with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
· Volodymyr Zelensky described Russia's actions as "energy blackmail" against Europe. Zelensky said Russia's decision to cut off gas supplies to Poland and Bulgaria shows that "no one in Europe can hope to maintain any normal economic co-operation with Russia."
· The European Commission has proposed suspending import duties on all Ukrainian products to help the country's economy during the war with Russia. The proposed one-year suspension, which will have to be approved by the European Parliament and the 27 member states, came a day after Britain announced it would lift all tariffs on Ukrainian goods.
· A senior executive at one of Russia's largest private banks said he had left his post and fled to Kiev to fight for Ukraine. In an interview with the independent Russian newspaper The Insider, Ukrainian-born Igor Volobuev, deputy chairman of Gazprombank, said he "could no longer be in Russia" and wanted to "wash away" his Russian past.
· The total losses caused in Ukraine by the war have reached $ 600 billion, Zelensky said.
