Amber Heard's lawyer, Elaine Bredehoft, claimed that the actress used a makeup product from Milan Cosmetics to cover the scars on her skin which she allegedly caused to Johnny Depp.
The only problem with the claim is that the Milan Cosmetics All In One concealer set was not on sale until 2017, as explained by the brand itself. Milan Cosmetics posted a video of TikTok explaining that the makeup set displayed by Heard's lawyer had not hit the market before 2017.
Amber Heard claims the abuse occurred from 2014 to 2016. They divorced in 2016. The makeup product was launched in December 2017.
amber heard's defense claimed she hid her bruises with a color correcting palette that she always carried with her… but the makeup brand @milanicosmetics posted this yesterday proving it was not possible ? pic.twitter.com/rdhq61Hsba

Although Heard's lawyer did not specifically mention Milan Cosmetics's name in court, she kept the branded product during court hearings and said Heard wore that product every day to hide the marks. Maybe Bredehoft was just using the product as an example of the kind of makeup Heard used, but it is also possible that he was just lying, as many people write on social media.
The trial is set to continue on Monday. Johnny Depp is trying to prove that the essay that Amber Heard wrote for the Washington Post in 2018 - in which she portrayed herself as a victim of domestic abuse - was slander. Depp has denied Heard's allegations from the beginning and is seeking a minimum of $ 50 million in damages plus a reward of at least $ 350,000, along with court costs and attorneys' fees.
