Do you like sweets when they are pungent? Or do you prefer sweet chocolates?
If you like spicy sweets you are likely to be an extrovert. According to a survey of 2000 dessert lovers, a person's preference for certain sweets can say a lot about personality or lifestyle choices. In addition to being extroverted (59%), most fans of pungent sweets also identified themselves as "gallant" and "sarcastic".
Meanwhile, chocolate lovers largely described themselves as "optimistic" (76%) and "shy" (67%). Fans of mint things, with a majority of 78%, said they were "thoughtful."
Conducted by OnePoll on behalf of confectionery company Jelly Belly, the survey delved deeper into the habits and beliefs of confectionery lovers.
People who ate candy every day were more likely to be identified as "night owls" instead of "morning birds" (43% vs. 17%). Two-thirds of fans of orange-flavored jelly (thick porridge dessert) liked to volunteer in their spare time (67%) - of those who liked the cherry flavor the most, 79% identified themselves as introverts.
