You know there is a new social networking app to share photos, but it's not like other platforms like Facebook or Instagram. What do we mean?
The app is called BeReal and many new ones are registering. This year, monthly users grew by 315%, according to data from Apptopia, which tracks and analyzes performance.
BeReal is a social network that encourages users to post photos from their lives in real time. At the center is originality. In BeReal there are no filters and options to modify posts. Once you download the app, you get a notification once a day that it is time for "BeReal". This means you have two minutes to shoot and post a photo of the moment, no matter how ordinary your activity may be.
The announcement comes at random times of the day, so there is no set time. The app takes two photos - a selfie and another that shows what you have in front of you.
At BeReal, people post unedited photos, mostly from everyday life, in pajamas, cooking, doing homework, working, etc.
"BeReal is your chance to show friends who you really are," the company says. "BeReal will not make you famous, if you want to become an influencer, you can stay on TikTok and Instagram."
