Laughter shows more than about a man than just being happy in those moments. Recent studies have shown that one's laughter tells a lot about others and about us. What specifically?
1. Spontaneous and voluntary laughter.
There are two types of laughter. The first is the spontaneous laughter that is characterized by the uncontrolled reaction of the moment that causes it. This kind of laughter can never be faked. The other type of laughter is the "voluntary" one, in other words the laughter we do just out of politeness so that we do not look arrogant when someone tells a (not so interesting) joke in front of us.
The latter helps us better identify the person who is laughing as it is a kind of self-controlled reaction.
2. You are more likely to laugh if you know the person who is telling the joke.
Do you mean that friend with a lot of humor who makes you laugh without saying anything? Science says we tend to laugh more at someone or something when we are familiar with them. Some jokes seem to us many times more interesting when told by a certain person whom we know well.
3. We make most of our laughter with friends
According to psychologists, we are 30 times more likely to laugh at something when we are involved in a conversation with a group of people. This, not because it is the joke that is making us laugh, but the way we react to each other that creates the atmosphere.
4. Even relationships last longer when you laugh together
Studies show that couples who laugh a lot with each other have a more harmonious and long-lasting relationship. Such connections offer more pleasure as in communication jokes and smiles prevail.
