Although the citizens expect that in the next communication they will be informed about the lifting of the restrictive measures, it seems that for the experts this is not the moment yet. Despite the significant drop in cases, the experts of the Technical Committee say that the situation is not yet suitable to release the measures in force.
According to Skënder Brataj, Chief of Emergency, it is the percentage of vaccination of the population that does not allow the removal of restrictions. Currently only 55% of the population has been vaccinated.
For Brataj the numbers are expected to decrease another, but he is afraid of mutations that may arise and since we are still a country with a low level of vaccination, exposure to new mutations remains a risk.
Following the example of many other European countries, even businesses or citizens in the country are demanding the lifting of restrictions, but this decision does not seem to be close yet if the level of vaccination does not show progress.
