A group of Afghan artists, who arrived in Albania after the Taliban invaded Afghanistan, painted a mural in the capital to thank Albania as a host country.
The mural was painted by members of Artlords, an Afghan organization of volunteer artists, in a building in central Tirana showing an Afghan man working on a map of Albania. The map is composed of many parts, which refer to the multiethnic character of Afghanistan.
"It is a work of art by our Afghan friends, our Afghan partners, to thank the Albanian people, to thank the entire nation of Albania for their hospitality, their generosity," said (via Euronews) Damon Wilson, head of the National Fund for Democracy.
Albania has hosted about 2,400 Afghans who settled in hotels or tourist resorts. About 150 of them have already left for other countries.
