During today's speech in the Assembly, the Minister of Health Ogerta Manastirliu informed that during this period should be increased vigilance and protection against new variants.
"21 months later, the challenge of this confrontation remains as difficult as the first day. No matter how long this confrontation seems, we must not lower our vigilance. The virus is a reality that is pushing many countries to return to the masses and harsher than before the pandemic. The new variant has given another dimension to the unknown. "We have faced attacks and accusations that often went beyond the bounds of the absurd," she said.
Having said that, Manastirliu called for vaccination with the third dose, explaining that the protection behind it is even greater.
"The vaccine is guaranteed for every citizen. We have an increase in the use of vaccines compared to three months ago and we started on December 3 with the boosting dose. We need to increase protection against new variants. Vaccination with the third dose increases protection. It's time to have a new impetus for a safe winter to deal with the risk of the virus. We have switched to a "B" plan of measures to prevent the spread. "All the measures for presenting the vaccination card for the administration and the employees in the shopping centers will start starting on January 4, or with the vaccination test," she concluded.
