Officially, now Instagram itself will let us know when it's time to break away from it a bit! The "Take a Break" option was introduced in September, but will only now be available to users, initially only in a few countries around the world such as the US, Britain, Canada and Australia. In the coming months it will be accessible worldwide, but how will we use it?
Going to "Settings" you can activate it by making it "on" and further select one of the options. You can set your own Instagram to remind you after 10, 20 or 30 minutes. You will be told to close the app, take a deep breath, write something on a piece of paper or listen to a song. All of this is done as a mental health care awareness.
In addition, Instagram has announced that it is working to limit the number of people who are tagged or mentioned in a photo or video, to keep teens away from inappropriate content that would harm their health.
