You are clear that the long time on the computer and the fact that you stay seated for hours is problematic for your physical health, but what you may not know is how blue screen lights affect your skin and how you sleep.
The time you spend with electronic devices has an impact on the skin that compares to that of sun damage (or even worse).
The cause is the high level of visible light energy that is known as blue lighting and is ejectiond from your TV, computer and smartphone. Research into the effects of this lighting is still under development. What scientists know is that it penetrates our skin more than UV rays and the effects it has on our DNA lead them to believe that it causes skin ageing the same as the damage caused by the sun.
Even without a concrete answer about the extent of this damage that is caused, it is to worry how long we have not known this and have not talked about the possibilities to protect ourselves.
But while we can avoid the sun, PC screens are an inseparable part of our daily life, so we have to find a middle way.
The beauty industry is beginning to take measures to protect the skin from damage from electronic lighting in the same way it does with sunlight: using creams.
