For Emily Blunt and John Krasinski, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry and over 70 other couples, it seems that love started from the stomach.
In an interview with iHeartMedia's River Cafe Table 4 podcast, Emily Blunt humorously claimed that Krasinski proposed to her only after she had prepared the recipe for Food Network star Ina Garten, which is widely known as "chicken of engagement ".
"I just did something I knew he would like," she recalled. "I mean, a roast chicken - who doesn't love a roast chicken? The roast chicken I adore is Ina Garten roast chicken, it's called 'engagement chicken'. When people do it, they get engaged or something like that."
And after serving the food to Krasinski, Blunt said he felt confident he had won his heart. "This was. That's enough, "she said.

Although the actress did not say exactly when the food was served, she and Krasinski were married in 2010. They are the parents of daughters Hazel, 7, and Violet, 5.
According to Garten, the dish got its name from an editor at Glamor magazine, who claimed she had prepared it for her boyfriend and was engaged within 24 hours. At least 70 other couples have reported the same results, thus inspiring the title of a cookbook, published by Glamor in 2011.

In 2018, Garten claimed that Meghan Markle made the recipe for Prince Harry shortly before she got engaged. "Without me, it would never have happened," she joked at the time.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have never commented on what recipes they cook, but have admitted in an interview shortly after their engagement that Prince Harry proposed to them one night while they were cooking a home-cooked chicken.
If you are wondering about the recipe, here is the video. With legacies!
