During a press conference today, the Teton County Investigator's Office revealed the cause of death of 22-year-old Gabby Petito.
According to officials, Petito died from drowning. The time of her death is estimated to have been three to four weeks before the body was found.

According to police, the parents had not communicated with Gabby since late August. Meanwhile Brian's parents have denied helping their son in his disappearance.
"We just hope that through our tragedy we lost Gabby, that in the future some good comes out of her, that we can help other people who may be in a similar situation," the stepfather told reporters. Petito, Jim Schmidt, at a news conference.
Her father, Joseph Petito, added, "We need positive things to go through this tragedy that happened. We can not allow her name to be tarnished."
